Valley Crossroads Music Ministry

The Valley Crossroads SDA Church has a growing music ministry led by the Holy Spirit through Minister of Music Frederick Settle. Church members with musical gifts are encouraged to join the music organizations that give them a performance outlet, help them grow in their appreciation of music, and train them for better use of their gifts. One need not be skilled in music performance in order to join one of the music groups. The only requirement is a desire to serve God (not self) and to grow musically.

Ministry Purpose
To communicate the love, peace and grace of Christ through the medium of music. Through music, along with the spoken word, we hope to demonstrate the life-changing experience of a relationship with Christ to those who don’t know Him, as well as stimulate and encourage a closer walk with Him to those who do.

Currently, the church has the following groups and musicians:

  • The Valley Crossroads Chorale, directed by Fred Settle, is made up of adults and youth who sing a variety of styles of music for worship services, other services and special events.
  • Sincere Praise, directed by Rose King, is made up of adults who generally sing music of the gospel genre for worship services and special events
  • The Valley Crossroads Ladies Ensemble is made up of adult women who sing for worship services and special events
  • We Are Blessed is a male ensemble made up of 5 adult men who sing for worship services and special events.
  • The church also has a variety of other talented small vocal groups, both adult and youth, and soloists that sing for worship services and special events
  • Our church organist is Rose King
  • Our church pianist is Erik Griggs

Vision and
Mission

  • To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community and beyond through music
  • To uplift and empower the Body of Christ by providing a variety of encouraging and spirit-led music
  • To use that variety of music to bring the Body of Christ together by breaking down demographic barriers such as age, race, and culture
  • To magnify the voice and reach of the message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, by providing a means of output for those with musical gifts and talents within the Valley Crossroads Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • To use music to strengthen families by reviving family worship in the home, and encouraging the active edification of children and youth
  • To create and operate a sound ministry that is self-sufficient, and, through God's power, can propel itself to each consecutive level of success - generating resources to support the expansion of the gospel, and to further the work of God

At Valley Crossroads, we relentlessly pursue the Presence of God. We long to have an intimate worship experience with God revealing to us the Beauty of His Holiness. As God's servants, we are here to lift your spirits and transform your life through the ministry of music. Please let us know how we can enhance our ministry or how our latest ministry endeavors have blessed you. I look forward to the day when together we can worship God eternally in the earth made new. Until then we ask for your prayers and we pray that for you Valley Crossroads can be a little bit of heaven on earth.
